Friends of Claytor Lake
FOCL is pleased to partner with The New River Conservancy to protect the New River and the entire New River Watershed. Claytor Lake is the first real impoundment on the New River, which makes the up-stream river water quality, and environment critical to the conditions in the Lake. For 27 years, FOCL has actively developed a Clean Up program, Water Quality Testing, and Native Habitat Planting that parallel the work that NRC is so well known for. It is partnerships like this that make the ongoing protection of the New River successful."

- Cheri C. Strenz; Friends of Clay Lake President

Friends Of Peak Creek
"FOPC is privileged and proud to partner with the New River Conservancy and the Friends of Claytor Lake for the purpose of protecting the natural resources of streams, lakes and rivers in our region. The New River, Claytor Lake and Peak Creek are interwoven so it is only natural that we should be also. Separately and together, we strive to protect and preserve our own small part of a spectacular system of water and together we are stronger in our endeavors.

-Cathy Hanks Friends of Peak Creek President.
